Planned Giving

Leaving a Legacy through Wills and Bequests

A bequest is one of the most meaningful ways which you can give. Your bequest to the Society of Saint John helps ensure that your wishes for God’s children will be honored. The Society has been able to sustain its work due to the generosity and vision of our benefactors.

A Requiem Mass for our departed benefactors is said every month at the Society of Saint John.

How to Do It

If you are planning to write your will or, if you already have one, you may want to consider these three common ways to make a bequest:

Percentage of Your Estate:
“I give, devise, and bequeath to the Society of Saint John, P.O. Box 248. Maple Hill, KS 66507, ____% of my estate.”

Specific Dollar Amount:
“I give, devise, and bequeath to Society of Saint John, P.O. Box 248. Maple Hill, KS 66507, $_____.”

Residue of Your Estate:
“All the residue of my estate, including, without limitation, real and personal property, I give, devise, and bequeath to Society of Saint John, P.O. Box 248. Maple Hill, KS 66507.”

If you wish to designate your bequest for a specific area, you can add a provision to your will to ensure that your gift will be used for a certain area of the Society of Saint John’s work. For more information please contact Brother Anthony via email.

Gifts to the Society of Saint John are tax deductible as she is a registered 501(c)(3) not–for–profit organization.
